The time has come to close Posh Scraps. Gasp! Oh no! I hear many of you, my loyal customers saying. It hasn’t been an easy decision to come to but, for me and my family, it is the best decision.
The economy has not bounced back as much as I would have hoped over the past 3 years since we opened the store. Our decision to downsize was the best decision and I have to say, I wish we’d have been able to do it sooner. I LOVE the new store. It’s actually more of what I envisaged Posh Scraps to look like. Obviously, back in November when we moved, we had no intention of closing but it was something that we had to do to keep our costs down. When you are continuously competing with online stores and the big box stores, you need to keep overhead costs as realistic as possible.
And it was not only the economy that played a big part in our decision. As many of you know, we have 3 small (well 2 small and one now not so small) children who need me at home. The store, and running of it, is a huge commitment. So much bigger than I ever anticipated and I don’t feel at this time that I can continue to put my heart and soul into the store, and be able to give my children what they need.
We would like to thank all of you that have tried so hard to support the store in any way you can. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed and we appreciate your loyalty and patronage. It is for this reason that we are sad. Sad because we know how much you love to create and know how the store has brought so many friendships to so many people.
So when? We plan to close our doors by May 23rd. We will still be having our weekly crops for our very loyal Friday night ladies, and any of you that want to join them.
We will continue to work on our Art Journals as much as we can for all of you ladies that started them.
Have a fully stamped loyalty card or gift card? These can be redeemed thru Saturday April 13th. So come in and take advantage of the best selection that we have before any sales start. Unfortunately, they will not be honored after this date.
Not every item in the store will go on sale before we close so if there is something that we have in store that you love, come and get it while it’s here.
